Post-Race Remedies!

Hey y'all!

I completed my 7th half marathon this weekend in the pouring rain. I don't recommend running a half marathon in a hurricane! This was the hardest race I have ever completed. On the plus side, I did finish and that is all that matters! Here are my post-race remedies for after you get that well deserved medal.

1. Enjoy your post-race party!
Usually every race has a post-race party after. You get food, your finisher gear, take pictures, and some serve beer! Enjoy this time because you deserve it. You get to eat whatever you want (Sadie said so) and be sure to take lots of pictures. You will never be this happy again. Finish line happy is the best kind of happy!

2. Drink plenty of water.
You have just lost your weight in sweat. Running takes a lot out of you and even if you feel fine after your race, you need to continue to hydrate. This will help your muscles heal faster.

3. Take a little walk each night.
My dad reminds me of this often. I like to take a week off before I start training for the next race. This does not mean that your asics don't hit the pavement! It is best to walk a mile or two each night to get those muscles moving.

4. Stretch often.
Today I had a fitness class I was dreading. I knew it was going to be hard but, stretching will really help for the second day pain. The second day after your race usually hurts more than the first. By stretching and keeping your muscles in motion it will help with stiffness.

5. GET SOME REST!
Again, you deserve it! You just ran a freaking (insert milage distance) race and that deserves a big, alarm clock free, nap! Try to get to bed on time for the next few days. If you're like me, you're gonna need it.

Always with love,
Sadie Lee

Pups In The Pumpkin Patch!

Hey y’all!

This weekend we took the pups to pick out their pumpkins from the patch! Samson (our Chihuahua) was so cute running through the rows of pumpkins in his little costume. This was one of the first times taking Sophie (our new German Shepherd) out of the house and she did so good! She is by far one of the prettiest German Shepherds I have ever seen. Both of our dogs are rescue dogs and we could not be happier with these two!

Texas thinks it is still summer right now, so this sleeveless swing dress was the perfect choice for spending the afternoon outside. I probably could have gone without the riding boots but, COME ON, it’s October! It should be in the 70’s, not the 90’s. Oh well.

#FormalFriday

Hey y'all!

Today is #FormalFriday! What is #FormalFriday you ask? Well,  Made Man and Career Gear have teamed together to bring you this awareness campaign. They are asking everyone to formal up today in honor of all the hard working men and women in the business world. Career Gear is a non-profit that helps low income men study up and suit up to enter the professional workforce and become role models to their families and communities. All you have to do is formal up and post a picture on social media with the hashtag #FormalFriday. This means suits, ties, cocktail dresses, pencil skirts, pretty blouses, etc. For every photo posted on Twitter or Instagram on Friday October 9th, 2015 with the hashtag #FormalFriday, Made Man will donate 1$ to Career Gear's organization. And who doesn't want to look good on a Friday? Start your weekend off right! (And end your Friday with happy hour ;)

I went with these perfect black slacks. Find a good pair of pants and they will last you for years! My blouse, blazer, and heels were all on super sale when I got them. It doesn't take a lot of money to look good. Remember guys, Made Man's motto is "Don't man up, GENTLEMAN up!"

I have linked very similar items above to help you find the perfect outfit for the perfect price! Everyone at the office is going to be dying to know where you got those shoes for ONLY 25$! Watch my instagram (@HeySadieLee) tomorrow to see who will be Formal-ing up with me. Don't forget to post your pictures with the #FormalFriday because, the classiest thing we can do is give back!

Always with love,
Sadie Lee

Smell Good From Head to Toe!

Hey y'all!

I don't know about you but, this time of year screams second day hair. I think it's the change in weather that gets your sinuses going and you just don't feel like doing anything. On top of all that, second day died hair doesn't always work out the way you expect it to. I have found that these hair perfumes do wonders! These curls are definitely the bedhead messy look. I added a little "Day Dreamer" by Bait Hair Perfume and I am good to go!

Bait Hair Perfume has designed a product that last up to 12 hours - through work, school, and even the gym! This will conceal the odors and does not make your hair greasy. All it takes is three pumps to last you all day! It is easy to pack for traveling and trust me, this is not a product you are going to want to leave behind!

HERE you can get the Bait Hair Perfume Minis. I love the size of these because they can go absolutely anywhere with me. Let me know what your favorite scent is!

Always with love,
Sadie Lee

Bulldog Attire!

Hey y'all!

This weekend we got to see the MSU vs A&M football game in College Station, TX. Now y’all know I am a dedicated bulldog fan (even though I currently reside in College Station). Luckily, I got to wear maroon and no one noticed! This game was very special to me because it is not only the second time I got to see where the DAWGS play but, it is also the second MSU game I got to see with my favorite old man. It was our first Texas A&M game to experience and it was definitely something to see! I loved every minute of it, despite the outcome! Here are a few pictures from our day and the outfit is linked below.

I had such a good time and I feel lucky to count these games as some of my memories! It doesn’t feel like fall if there isn’t any football, am I right?

Always with love,

Sadie Lee
